It is an important source of renewable energy and its technologies are broadly characterized as either passive solar or active solar depending on how they capture and distribute solar energy or convert it into solar power. Passive solar techniques include orienting a building to the Sun, selecting materials with favorable thermal mass or light-dispersing properties, and designing spaces that naturally circulate air.

So the consumers no need to pay for the solar energy that is nature’s gift to us from the sun. The consumers can opt for lesser electric grid from the government which will reduce their electric installation and consumption costs.

There is not much maintenance cost required to maintain the solar panels unlike the electric cables laid by the government that requires a lot of maintenance.
